This initiative was developed to provide funds for properties to hire Resident Service Coordinators (RSCs) at family properties who will offer residents an opportunity to identify barriers that prevent them from becoming self-sufficient and work directly with a social service provider familiar with community programs and resources to reduce those barriers. The RSCs are located at selected New Hampshire Housing financed or administered family properties in the state. The goal of the Family Resident Service Coordinator Initiative is to build the capacity of property managers and owners to address the social and economic needs of residents living in New Hampshire Housing financed or administered units as a socially responsible approach to asset management. Ultimately Resident Service Coordination can result in an increased ability of the residents to uphold lease obligations, decrease resident turnover and eviction rates and reduce incidents of property damage. The property management company and owner are encouraged to form partnerships with a multi-service community based organization to fulfill the Family RSC goals. A property owner or management company with social service delivery experience may also be eligible as a service provider. 2011 Housing Services Training: Community Health and Veterans Services Roundtable Resident Service Coordinators Manual Service Coordinators Semi-Annual Performance Report (link to HUD web site with fillable Adobe Acrobat form) If you do not have Adobe Acrobat, you can download it free of charge by using the link at the bottom of this page. |
