The HomeAccess Program helps low and moderate-income borrowers (other than developmentally disabled borrowers who qualify using the Home of Your Own Program) to acquire a home and/or make it accessible for a permanently disabled household member.  At least one full time resident of the household must be permanently disabled to qualify for the program.

Properties purchased under the program must meet all requirements of the Single Family Mortgage Program and household income must be the lesser of New Hampshire Housing's Single Family Mortgage Program limit or the statewide median income published annually by HUD.

Low-interest loans up to $25,000 are available to make the home accessible for the disabled household member.  When coupled with the purchase of a home, accessibility loans do not need to be included in the acquisition cost of the home or loan-to-value calculations.  In addition to meeting income and other guidelines of the program, borrowers who already own their home may qualify for an accessibility modification loan only if they have been unable to obtain a home equity loan from a conventional lender.
