To apply for Emergency Rental Assistance, please complete and return the information listed below to New Hampshire Housing. If your application is not complete, it may delay the process. Please return all of the requested information in one envelope. If you send in items separately, the single pieces of paper could get lost and it will take extra time to match up the mail. If you have any questions regarding what you need to send in, please feel free to call 1-800-439-7247, extension 9283. Three of the items listed below are required so that your file will be processed quickly. 1. Complete the Emergency Rental Assistance Program Application/Declaration Form. 2. Include a copy of eviction notice or Demand for Rent. Please note: If you are homeless, verification from an agency or Town Welfare will be accepted instead of an eviction notice or Demand for Rent. 3. Include a copy of the Notice of Decision from Town/City Welfare Office to verify that you have applied for assistance from them. If denied, it must be through no fault of your own. Once we have received all of the above information, we will contact you by phone or letter, to discuss your application and how we may be able to assist you. Please allow ten (10) business days for us to respond to your application. Please note that we do not provide apartments. If you qualify, this assistance is minimal financial assistance for a month or two, to help get you on your feet. We do not have enough money to assist you until your name reaches the top of the Housing Choice Voucher Waiting list. This is not the Housing Choice Voucher Program. Return completed application including all of the requested information above to: New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority |
