In 2006 New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority conducted a survey within the state to determine which municipalities had Age Restricted Housing Ordinances and various characteristics of any age restricted housing units within their community.

Although most municipalities completed the section of the survey regarding ordinances, far fewer completed the detailed housing permit data section. This is understandable since some towns have a more detailed and accessible record system than others.

New Hampshire Housing's analysis summarized each municipality's response to the survey. The data was then combined to provide regional data at the county level. A more detailed analysis of the data set will be released in the future.
