New Hampshire Housing maintains databases on demographic and various housing data for the towns, counties, Regional Planning Commission, Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs), and Labor Market Areas (LMAs) as well as statewide information for New Hampshire. In addition to our web-based charts and data, the Authority is making these databases available as Microsoft Excel spreadsheet files with embedded macros to allow the user to select the information desired. Macros must be enabled in order to view the data (click "yes" to enable macros if prompted).

Because these files contain macros, the user must verify MS Excel's macro security level before opening the files.

1. Open MS Excel
2. In the Tools dropdown menu, select Macros and then Security
3. On the Security Level Tab - choose the Medium Option
4. Then click OK
5. Close MS Excel

The files will not run if the Macro Security Level is on High.

When opening the file, there will be a prompt stating that the file you are opening contains macros, and you will be given the option to Disable Macros or Enable Macros. Select Enable Macros.

NOTE: These files are extremely large and may take a long time to open or download, especially for users with dial-up internet connections!
