Language Access Conference

New Hampshire Legal Assistance and New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority are pleased to present a statewide conference on language access issues, including:
- Alexandra Baer from Language Bank will present on how to properly communicate with limited English proficient (LEP) individuals using an interpreter
- Iris Coloma-Gaines of the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute will address compliance with the language access requirements of Title VI for federally subsidized housing providers and the components of a good Language Access Plan
- Kristen Barry of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will present on the connection between language access issues and discrimination under the federal Fair Housing Act
