The Community Engagement Coordinator will support the administration of the Housing Awareness Program, educating employers, business, civic and community leaders, public officials, business partners, and the general public, about the connection between an adequate and balanced supply of housing and economic growth and stability. This position supports the efforts to maintain relationships with community members, regional housing advocacy organizations and municipalities through education, public presentations, technical assistance, and other resources.
Keys to success in the position are a proven ability to communicate effectively, solid ability to build working relationships with various business partners and peers, strong public speaking and presentation skills, and experience with the MS Office suite. Knowledge of the housing industry and community engagement/development experience preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or at least five years’ relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. American Institute of Certified Planners Certification preferred.
