September 11, 2025 | 3:00pm - 4:30pm
Venue : New Hampshire Institute of Politics
The Housing and the Economy Speaker Series kicks off on September 11 at the NH Institute of Politics with featured speaker Matthew Yglesias – author, journalist, and prominent housing policy analyst.

Yglesias is the author of “The Rent Is Too Damn High,” founder of the “Slow Boring” newsletter, and co-founder of Vox.com. A nationally recognized voice on housing and economic policy, Yglesias is a leading proponent of YIMBY (Yes In My Backyard) reforms and a sharp analyst of the intersections between housing, affordability, and economic growth.
This new series is designed to bring together community partners, students, and faculty to engage with thought leaders on the critical connection between housing and the economy. Through public talks and interactive sessions, the series will explore timely issues, innovative policy approaches, and the broader implications of housing trends on communities and economic well-being.
