New Opioid Use Disorder Supportive Housing Capital Program Announced

BEDFORD, NH

New Hampshire Housing announces the launch of the Opioid Use Disorder Supportive Housing Capital Program, a new initiative aimed at providing stable housing for individuals and families impacted by opioid use disorder and co-occurring disorders.  

The Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for this program was released on January 6, 2025, and applications must be submitted by March 11, 2025. 

This innovative program offers capital funding for the creation of new supportive housing for individuals and households affected by Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and other co-occurring disorders. Key details include:  

  • Annual funding available: Up to $5.7 million for three years 
  • Maximum award per project: $2 million 
  • Loan terms: 0% interest, deferred payment loans 

“Providing stable housing is a critical step towards recovery for individuals suffering from opioid use disorder,” said Rop Dapice, CEO of New Hampshire Housing. “This program is designed to ensure that those in need have a safe and supportive environment, which we know is essential for sustained recovery.” 

Funding for the program is provided by the New Hampshire Opioid Abatement Trust Fund and administered by the NH Department of Health and Human Services.
