Multi-Family Supportive Housing Financing Program
The Multi-family Supportive Housing Financing Program provides financial assistance owners/sponsors of housing where the housing is provided in tandem with social service programs related to the needs of the residents.
Projects consisting of new construction, acquisition and/or rehabilitation, reconstruction or conversion are eligible.
Projects eligible for financing include permanent rental housing, single room occupancy (SRO), transitional housing, and group homes/shelters with ongoing social services designed for and directly related to the needs of the residents, as well as transitional housing, emergency crisis housing, housing for homeless families, drug/alcohol rehabilitation and recovery housing, housing for persons with a disability, and housing for persons diagnosed with severe mental illness.
Generally, this program is funded by New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority every fiscal year (July 1 through June 30) using a variety of federal and non-federal funding sources. One or two funding rounds are scheduled each year and each funding round is announced with the publication of a Request for Proposals (RFP) on New Hampshire Housing’s website, with a due date 60 to 90 days after the publication of the RFP. The RFP will identify any special priorities or rules for that funding round.
FY 2020 Supportive Housing Request for Proposal Schedule
New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority is anticipating that two Supportive Housing Funding Rounds will be made available in fiscal year 2020. The first round will be released early in the fall of 2019 and will consist of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for multi-unit supportive housing projects funded with a combination of non-federal sources. The second round will consist of a multi-unit Supportive Housing RFP funded with national Housing Trust Funds (HTF) with Project Based Vouchers. The release date for the HTF RFP will be determined later in FY 2020.

for Multi-Unit Residential Supportive Housing Projects
New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority (“the Authority”) is seeking applications for financing from qualified developers for projects that will provide supportive affordable housing in the State of New Hampshire. The scoring criteria and other information regarding the application process is described in the RFP.
