Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be conducted by New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority at the auditorium at Nashua City Hall located at 229 Main Street, Nashua New Hampshire from 6:00pm to 7:00pm (or later, if there is sufficient public interest) on December 12, 2022 with respect to the proposed issuance by New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority, acting under and pursuant to New Hampshire Revised Statutes Annotated Chapter 204-C (the “Act”), of obligations in the maximum aggregate principal amount of $32,000,000(the “Bonds”) (out of a total anticipated project cost of approximately $59,360,000). The Bonds are proposed to be issued to provide financing as permitted under the Act for the acquisition (through a leasehold interest), rehabilitation, construction, furnishing and equipping of the following multi-family residential rental housing facilities, which are multi-family housing condominium units:  with respect to condominium Unit 1 (“U1”), the acquisition, rehabilitation, furnishing and equipping of an existing 101-unit  senior rental housing facility; and with respect to condominium Unit 3 (“U3”), the acquisition, construction, furnishing and equipping of a 32-unit addition to the existing 40-unit  senior rental housing facility (together, the “Project”).  The Project is located on a 4.13-acre site in the City of Nashua, County of Hillsborough, and State of New Hampshire having a street address of 7 Coliseum Avenue. When completed, the Project will consist of one building with 173 apartment units contained in 83,427 net rentable square feet (also part of said building, but not included in the Project, is condominium Unit 2 (“U2”)).  All of the residential rental units are expected to constitute senior housing with tenants having income of no greater than 60 percent of area median income.  The owner of the Project will be CS1 HINEC 2022 LLC, a New Hampshire limited liability company whose authorized representative is Cynthia J.M. Taylor. U2 is owned by an affiliated entity. The sponsor for the project will be Housing Initiatives of New England Corporation.  The Bonds will not be a general obligation of New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority or a pledge of the faith and credit of New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority or a debt, liability, obligation or pledge of the faith and credit of the State of New Hampshire or any political subdivision thereof.

 Written comments will be accepted for two business days following the public hearing and must be received by New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority via email, fax, or physical delivery no later than 4:30 p.m. on December 14, 2022.
