Two New Landlord Incentive Programs Announced

June 29, 2021

New Hampshire Housing is offering two new landlord incentive programs to encourage landlords and property owners to rent to tenants participating in two housing programs.

New Hampshire Housing received 120 housing vouchers through the federal American Rescue Plan, specifically targeted to assist individuals and families who are homeless and/or fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking.

Landlords who lease a unit to an Emergency Housing Voucher (EHV) holder may receive up to $1,000. This is a one-time bonus per unit leased. Landlords can receive more than one bonus!  LEARN MORE

These housing vouchers are available to prevent and end homelessness among youth exiting the foster care system. Young people aging out of foster care are at high risk of homelessness and instability and may have few housing options. New Hampshire Housing is working with community partners to coordinate and connect eligible youth at-risk of or experiencing homelessness with housing and related supports.

Landlords who lease a unit to a young adult participating in the Foster Youth to Independence Program (FYI) may receive up to $1,000 for each unit rented. LEARN MORE
